Microsoft Sends Invites to Sept. 30 'Enterprise' Windows Event
Microsoft has sent out invitations to an event for Sept. 30 — the date when, according to rumors, the company will publicly reveal Windows 9, the next major upgrade to Windows.
The invitation simply reads: "join us for what's next for Windows and the enterprise." An accompanying email says the event will include information for technical and enterprise customers
We asked Microsoft for more detail, but they declined to provide any.
The rumors that Microsoft is preparing to launch Windows 9 at a Sept. 30 event were first reported by The Verge. Microsoft has already shown that the next version of Windows will bring back a redesigned Start menu and allow users run Modern/Metro apps within a window on the desktop.
