Jeb Bush said he was 'Hispanic' on a 2009 voter form

Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida and likely 2016 presidential candidate, has apologized for listing his race as "Hispanic" on a 2009 voter-registration application obtained by the New York Times.


Jeb, a son of President George H.W. Bush and younger brother of President George W. Bush, was born in Texas and married a Mexican-born woman, Columba, in 1974. While he speaks Spanish and spent some time in Mexico and Venezuela in his youth, he is not Hispanic — despite what he marked off
