Did the NYPD just end an NBA player's season by breaking his leg?

Atlanta Hawks forward Thabo Sefolosha will miss the rest of the NBA regular season and the impending playoffs after suffering a broken leg in an incident outside a nightclub early Wednesday that included another player being stabbed in the abdomen

Sefolosha plays a key reserve role for the Hawks, who own the Eastern Conference's best record, and his absence is a significant blow to the chances of one of the league's more downtrodden franchise's capping a surprisingly stellar season with a championship run.

But more interesting is a bigger question: Did the NYPD break Sefolosha's leg?
