Tom Hanks helps sell Girl Scout cookies, 'cause that's the kind of guy he is

It's always good to have a backup plan in case your current career doesn't work out. Case in point: America's sweetheart Tom Hanks tried his hand at selling Girl Scout cookies last month.

Hanks was spotted in Los Altos, California, by some eagle-eyed Girl Scouts and posed for a picture with them

The actor offered to take photos with passers-by on the condition they buy at least one box of cookies, according to the Los Altos Town Crier . Hanks made off with four boxes and left a $20 tip
