Six suggestions for James Corden to make ‘The Late, Late Show’ a success
The dress rehearsal didn’t go well.
With just days to go until James Corden makes his debut as Craig Ferguson’s replacement on The Late, Late Show, test audiences at a last-minute run through were almost unanimous in their condemnation.
Predictable, unoriginal, boring, too similar to everything else –- the feedback on the format was hardly encouraging. However, the bulk of the 200-strong audience’s concern and confusion was aimed at the man on the stage, his humour and his accent.
James Corden is best known to UK audiences as the chubby, cheeky chappie that hosted the Brit Awards for several years and as one half of BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey.
