Samsung headlines an exciting Mobile World Congress 2015

At a time when most other large consumer electronics trade shows have lost much of their past significance and appeal — what's the last really significant CES-timeframe launch you can remember? — Barcelona's Mobile World Congress continues to be a must-follow event.

That's no longer only due to the smartphones debuting there (of which there were quite a few notable models), with several companies introducing non-handset devices from categories as disparate as wearables and virtual reality at the 2015 extravaganza.
