Police find no evidence for Rolling Stone's U.Va. rape story

An explosive Rolling Stone report of a brutal sexual assault at a University of Virginia fraternity house could not be corroborated by police in Charlottesville, Virginia, after a four month-long investigation, the department chief said on Monday


Charlottesville Police Department Chief Tim Longo said that his team's investigation had found no evidence that corroborated the magazine story



"That doesn't mean that something terrible did not happen to Jackie on the evening of September the 28th, 2012," Longo said during a press conference. "We are just not able to gather sufficient facts to conclude what the something my have been." Read more...
