Former corrections officer reportedly kills man in NYC subway station

Former New York City corrections officer Will Groomes allegedly shot and killed a man in a Brooklyn subway station during rush hour on Tuesday, after getting into an altercation that started on the train, according to the New York Post

Gilbert Drogheo, the reported victim, and his companion reportedly acted belligerent when Groomes walked past them as he got on the train. Police sources told the Post that Drogheo punched and spat on Groomes. The former corrections officer, who retired two decades ago, also reportedly told police that Drogheo and his companion tried to rob him
