First rule of climate change in Florida: don't mention climate change
Florida Republican governor Rick Scott has ordered state environmental protection officials to avoid using the terms "climate change" and "global warming" in official communications, policy documents and other reports, according to the Florida Center for Investigative Reporting (FCIR)
The center published the results of an investigation based on interviews with former Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) officials, state documents and other sources, in the Miami Herald and Tampa Bay Times Sunday
The governor's office disputes the account, but did not elaborate to FCIR or the Washington Post about its specific objections.
