22 songs of maximum joy to mark the International Day of Happiness

LONDON — This Friday, the world is celebrating the United Nation's International Day of Happiness, an annual spot in the calendar that reminds us "the pursuit of happiness is a fundamental human goal."

To mark the occasion this year, the UN enlisted the help of Ed Sheeran, John legend and others to create "the world's happiest playlist."

In the words of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the aim is to use "the universal language of music to show solidarity with the millions of people around the world suffering from poverty, human rights abuses, humanitarian crises, and the effects of environmental degradation and climate change.” Read more...
