10 hot trends to watch at SXSW Interactive 2015

Anytime I think about South by Southwest (SXSW), I am reminded of Seinfeld. Like that now classic sitcom, SXSW is also a show about nothing.



In fact, SXSW is actually about dozens and dozens of things, but with no central-organizing principal. It's smart, peripatetic and unruly. To experience it, you have to absorb every sight and sound that's coming at you and move fast to find the spot in that one oddball panel featuring a surprising guest speaker or unexpected bit of news.



As I struggled to get a handle on this year's Austin, Texas-based event, which runs from March 13-17 (Music and Film continue after until the 22nd), I reached out to an expert. Hugh Forrest is the Director of SXSW Interactive. He agreed to break down the show into recognizable trends.
