Passengers escape from plane after it crashes in Taiwan river

Passengers have had to scramble from the submerged wreckage of a flight that landed in a river in Taipei, Taiwan.

The TransAsia flight crashed in the Keelung River with 58 people on board after taking off from Taipei's Songshan Airport on Wednesday morning. Reuters reported more than 10 people were injured when the plane went down

The flight was bound for the island region of Kinmen when it reportedly hit a bridge, according to initial reports in local media and a dashcam video from a car on the bridge.
