A federal bill that would force third-party websites such as Google to remove revenge porn may also pressure the search giant to alter its algorithm so such photos and videos are nearly impossible to find
At least, that's what Mary Anne Franks, who helped draft the federal law, is hoping. Franks began drafting laws against revenge porn in 2013, four years after she met Holly Jacobs, a victim of revenge porn who is also on a mission to make it illegal. Franks and Jacobs are now executives at the Cyber Civil Rights Initiative, which aims to build laws to prevent cyber harassment.
