Nestlé removing artificial flavors and colors from its chocolate candies

Nestlé USA plans to do away with all artificial flavors and colors from its chocolate snacks by the end of 2015, the company announced Tuesday. That means FDA-certified colors, like Red 40 and Yellow 5 will be gone from snacks like Butterfinger, Crunch and Baby Ruth
“We know that candy consumers are interested in broader food trends around fewer artificial ingredients," said Doreen Ida, president, Nestlé USA Confections and Snacks, in a press release. "As we thought about what this means for our candy brands, our first step has been to remove artificial flavors and colors without affecting taste or increasing the price." Read more...
