Ireland sets date for same-sex marriage vote

Voters will head to the polls in Ireland on May 22, to decide whether same-sex marriage should become legal or not.

The date was announced Thursday night by Irish Prime Minister (or Taoiseach) Enda Kenny, who called for a respectful, tolerant, understanding and sensitive referendum.
