Cyclists could take over abandoned tube tunnels in London one day

If you love riding your bike but hate the sun, a solution may be on the horizon


San Francisco-based design firm Gensler proposes to take advantage of untapped resources and turn London's abandoned tube tunnels into usable underground streets



According to Gensler's website, the proposed "London Underline" aims to help clear up congestion for commuters in London and provide a safer space for cyclists


Eventually, the tunnels could even be destinations in themselves, hosting shops and art.
