Samsung Milk expands beyond Galaxy devices and adds virtual reality
Samsung's Milk platform, which allows users to listen to music and watch videos on Samsung Galaxy devices, is about to get a lot more versatile.
The company announced on Monday at CES that Milk Video and Milk Music are expanding beyond beyond Galaxy devices.
Milk Video is moving to a new app on Samsung smart TVs so users can stream content directly to a TV, rather than just on mobile. Also coming this spring is a web-based listening platform for Milk Music; it's available to everyone on Samsung.com.
Milk VR, the new virtual reality component, will work with Samsung's Gear VR consumer-grade headset and the Galaxy Note 4If a user accesses Milk VR, he'll get access to full 360-degree videos in four channels: music, sports, action and liftestyle.
