Man evaded Charlie Hebdo killers by hiding under a sink

A man hid under a sink for hours on Friday as two heavily armed Charlie Hebdo attackers engaged in a standoff with police. The suspects never knew he was there.



Friday's standoff with police began when the two armed men, Cherif Kouachi and his brother Said Kouachi, emerged from the woods near Dammartin-en-Goele and hijacked a car. The men then encountered police and exchanged fire.
