The episode was a fine example of art imitating life, or, in the case of The New Republic, actually predicting itTNR, an institution in the magazine world, went through its own dramatic collapse on Thursday.
Editor Franklin Foer and literary editor Leon Wieseltier, both institutions in their own right, are out, as Facebook cofounder and TNR owner Chris Hughes vowed to turn the company into "a vertically integrated digital media company." Read more...
