Netflix slams the door on offline viewing, doubles down on public Wi-Fi

There had been some hope that Netflix might offer its users the ability to download shows, and watch them in much the same way Spotify offers offline listening.

However, those hopes have been dashed by Cliff Edwards, the company's director of corporate communications and technology. In an interview with TechRadar , Edwards puts it bluntly: "It's never going to happen."
