Korean Air Lines chairman publicly apologizes for 'nut rage' incident

“Please blame me, it’s all my fault,” Korean Air Lines chairman Cho Yang-ho, said at a press conference Friday. “I failed to bring her up properly.”


And so continues the fallout from an incident on a flight last week, when Cho Hyun-ah, the chairman's daughter and the airline's vice-president, delayed departure over the proper etiquette for serving macadamia nuts. Hyun-ah resigned as head of in-flight services after the incident.



On Friday, the chairman went further, announcing that Hyun-ah would no longer hold any executive post at Hanjin Group, a conglomerate including the airline, hotel and shipping companies. Read more...
