Amazon Instant Video now streams in 4K

If you have a 4K TV, you now have another option for watching native video: Amazon added some Ultra HD (a.k.a. 4K) titles to its Amazon Instant Video service, including Orphan Black and the Amazon original series Transparent as well as specific movies like The Amazing Spider-Man.

Amazon says the titles are available now, and are available to both Prime members and non-members. The only requirement is a compatible Ultra HD TV.

Luckily, Amazon doesn't discriminate (unlike, say, DirecTV), and select TVs from Samsung, Sony and LG will stream the titles in full resolution, although you'll need to use the TVs built-in Amazon Instant Video app — not something connected via a streaming device or stick (like a Chromecast).
