U.S. reporter imprisoned in Iran for 108 days could be freed in coming weeks

Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian has spent more than 100 days in prison in Iran, where he was detained — apparently for no reason — along with his wife and journalist Yeganeh Salehi.


Salehi was released on Oct. 6 on bail, while Rezaian, who holds both American and Iranian passports, remains behind bars in solitary confinement in Tehran’s notorious Evin prison, according to his family


But there's now renewed hope for his release



In an interview with Euronews, Mohammed Javad Larijani, the head of Iran’s human rights council, said that he hopes the prosecutor will soon drop the case and let Rezaian go, something that could, perhaps, happen "in less than a month." Read more...
