Standing side-by-side are the seven living Australian prime ministers at the memorial for Australia's 21st prime minister Gough Whitlam. The most powerful men and woman of the Liberal and Labor parties have never looked so perfectly uncomfortable.
The 22nd Liberal prime minister of Australia Malcolm Fraser is keeping his distance on the left from the Labor stronghold. Next to him is the Labor and first female prime minister, Julia Gillard, who has only recently made her way back into the public eye after being ousted by Kevin Rudd in 2013. While the 23rd prime minister, Labor's longest-serving, Bob Hawke, is no doubt worried he is about to be shirt-fronted by the current Liberal Prime Minister Tony Abbott, who has a suspicious grin on his face.
