Here’s your guide to the art in New York City subways

Ah, the New York City subway system. Whether you’re a native New Yorker, a tourist or somewhere in between, you’ve likely noticed the assortment of artwork adorning the inside of many of the city’s train stations.


If you’ve wanted to learn more about these projects and the artists who created them, you’re in luckNew York’s Underground Art Museum: MTA Arts & Design will be on sale beginning Nov. 11. This new publication offers an expanded follow-up to Along the Way, published nearly a decade ago in 2006, and includes almost 100 works of art that have been added to local stations since then.
