When the London School of Economics men's rugby team handed out misogynistic and homophobic leaflets at a student fair, it attracted more media attention than new recruits.
Now the famed school — alma mater of presidents, prime ministers, Nobel Prize economists and the Rolling Stones — has disbanded the rugby team for a year as a punishment, The Guardian reports.
The leaflet shows a faceless young woman wearing a jacket with the team's logo, with her breast slipping out. Inside, women are called a variety of derogatory terms — "slags", "mingers" and "trollops" — while fellow female athletes are described as "beast-like women who play sport just so they can come out with us."
