Radio Station in Houston Now Only Plays Beyoncé

A radio station in Houston has a new format: All Beyoncé, all the time

Nothing but Beyoncé — not even any ads. No Destiny's Child, either (sorry, Kelly and Michelle.)

News 92 FM, Houston's first FM all-news radio station, shocked fans and employees with the announcement that it would be shutting down immediately. Listeners were confused when at, at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, a traffic report transitioned into the singer's flawless discography without explanation.

The station's all-news format was an experiment to begin with when it was founded in 2011. Although News 92 FM had a staff of seasoned journalists and a dedicated following, they sadly never found a sustainable business model. Read more...
