Hyundai Genesis Is the Safest Car in Australian History

SYDNEY — The Hyundai Genesis is the safest car in Australian history. In 21 years of the Australasian New Car Assessment Programme (ANCAP), no other car has been rated as highly as the South Korean sedan.

It seems the folks at Hyundai have finally cracked the luxury car market, using a strategic move: Safety first.

The Genesis scored 36.88 points out of 37, earning a maximum five-star rating. Hyundai beat out luxury European car makers for this prize, with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class coming in at 36.46 and the Volvo S60 at 36.34.

In the 64 kilometers per hour frontal offset test the Genesis achieved 15.88 out of 16, it received full marks in the 29 kilometers per hour pole test and also in the 50 kilometers per hour side impact test. Read more...
