Sir Ian McKellen offered up a bit of memorable Middle Earth-inspired advice when visiting South West England's Chew Valley School on October 17

According to the Lord of the Rings actor's Twitter account, he was there to speak to staff and students about gay issues.

Addressing a large group of students who'd gathered outside of the library window, McKellen repurposed a classic film line to warn what would happen if they didn't study.
