Ferguson police chief ouster reportedly in the works

Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson would leave his post and management of his beleaguered department would be overseen by the St. Louis County police chief, under a reported plan.


The proposal, first reported by CNN Tuesday, has been part of ongoing discussions amongst officials from local, state and federal agencies


But Jackson said he has not been asked to step aside



"Nobody in my chain of command has asked me to resign, nor have I been terminated," he told CNN by phone
