After Trademark Flap, Deadmau5 Says Disney Asked for Help with New Fantasia
Deadmau5 stoked the fire of an ongoing legal feud with Disney this week when the EDM star submitted more than 1,000 pages of material to the U.S. Trademark Office countering the media giant's efforts to block the trademark application for his signature "Mau5head" logo.
In the lengthy document, released by the The Hollywood Reporter , the musician also known as Joel Zimmerman claims Disney sought to collaborate with him on a number of projects, including the scoring of a live concert series commemorating the 75th anniversary of Fantasia.
Deadmau5 also alleges that as recently as July, Disney's music division offered him an opportunity to produce the theme music for Disney's new animated series Star Wars Rebels.
