NASA to Launch 3D Printer Into Space Sunday

The International Space Station may soon get its first 3D printer.


A 3D printer is planned to be among the supplies sent to the the space station on SpaceX's resupply mission, slated for 2:00 a.m. ET Sunday morning



Once there, the 3D printer, NASA says, will be used to make replacement parts and tools aboard the space station. It will be the first time astronauts on the ISS will have access to a 3D printer.
