Jetblue CEO David Barger will step down when his contract ends in February, the airline announced Thursday
Robin Hayes, JetBlue's current president, will succeed Barger as CEO on Feb. 16, 2015.
Barger has served as JetBlue's CEO since 2007, however, rumors about his stepping down have circulated since May.
Analysts have criticized the airline's management for not squeezing more fees from customers.
JPMorgan’s veteran airline analysts said “a CEO transition at JetBlue early in 2015 appears highly probable,” according to Fortune, noting that it “would likely lead to a more returns-oriented business model.” Read more...
