Biting Bat Will Put a Stop to Your Dad Jam Band

Can't a guy just have a jam sesh in the Oregon woods without a rabid bat swooping in and biting his neck?

It's a valid question if you're Derrick Skou, who was having an otherwise excellent day playing guitar at Pinhead Creek with his buds when a bat completely stole the limelight from him.

The bat wasn't done with him after the first strike, and attempted twice more before his friend shot the bat with a BB gun, Skou told KOMO News

After taking the bat to local health officials, the campers discovered that the bat was rabid, which means Skou will have to go through a painful series of shots in a procedure to prevent getting the disease. Read more...
