Turkey's Controversial Prime Minister Leads High-Stakes Presidential Election

ISTANBUL—Sinan Ozer, a 35-year-old municipal councilor from Istanbul has been attending political rallies in support of Turkey's ruling party for much of his adult life


The most memorable have been been those led by the party's leader, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, whose catalog of impassioned political speeches are vividly etched in his memory.



Yet none has been quite as memorable as the massive gathering Ozer and three generations of his family attended last week
