Russian Prime Minister's Twitter Account Gets Hacked

Someone hacked the Twitter account of Russia's Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Thursday, posting a series of fake messages including a resignation announcement.


"I am resigning. I am ashamed of the actions of the government. Forgive me," read the first tweet, according to The Interpreter . The tweets are now gone. But whoever hacked the account had control of the account for about 30 minutes



Several of the tweets had a political message, including one that read: "#Crimea is not ours, please retweet."
