Forget defense — which World Cup competitors have the best local grub? From French baguettes and crepes to German bratwurst, it's nearly impossible to pin down which team boasts the tastiest food back home.

Artist George Zisaidis' latest project highlights foods from each team's home country in a whimsical photo series he calls "World Cup Cuisines." But instead of pitting two cuisines against one another, Zisaidis brings them together in the spirit of the tournament
