'Extant' Episode 2 Recap: 'They're Here'

Episode 2 of CBS's Extant delivered heebies with a side of jeebies.

With a single line of dialogue, hour two of the space drama turned the entire show from casually thought-provoking to OMG-WTF-is-going-on-level goodness. But let's back up

The episode opened in Molly's (Halle Berry) palace of earth tones, where the astronaut was waking up from a restful sleep and ready for a day of fun with her robo-son Ethan, who continued to be just as quietly creepy in this episode as last week. (Those eyes are dead. Dead, I say.)

Her attempt to start a quiet day of fun at the museum, however, took a turn when she found herself face-to-face with Marcus, the dead former lover who was possibly impersonated by an alien and possibly impregnated her in space. First, rude, alien-Marcus. Ever hear of using a doorbell? Second, rude again. You don't show up to someone's home in the morning without scones and coffee. In sum: aliens = rude.
